It’s that time of year again, where the Miss Ohio class of 2011 gathered at 4-H Camp Ohio to prepare for Miss Ohio 2011. Thank you to everyone who was involved in making this year’s Forum so great, yet again.  The countdown to Miss Ohio has begun, only 2 months left.

One of my most unusual and fun appearances yet, the United Way/Main Street Association Duck Derby held at Kalahari Water Park in Sandusky Ohio.  Throughout the year, the United Way of Sandusky sold rubber duckies for $20 each with a chance to win 4 prizes, including a car, passes to Kalahari, passes on the Jet Express, and $1000 to Sandusky Mall. On the day of the Derby I sang the National Anthem and then they dropped 5000 rubber duckies over the waterfalls and into the lazy river at Kalahari and the duckies raced for the top 4 spots! I had never been to Kalahari, but WOW, what a cool place and what a fun event! Can’t wait to visit Kalahari again soon!

Congratulations to all of the D.A.R.E. program graduates from St. Joe’s Maumee and St. Pat’s of Heatherdowns and thank you for letting me be a part of your graduation ceremony!

Thank you to Life Connection of Ohio for allowing me to be a part of the Green Chair Campaign at WTOL to raise awareness and funds for organ, eye, and tissue donation. The fluffy green chair was not left empty for a full 24 hours. “Together we will make sure no chair is left empty”

Thank you to the Cleveland Indians and Progressive Field for allowing me to be a part of the Opening Weekend Festivities by singing our National Anthem at Sunday’s Game! My family & I had a blast (other than the 45* weather and rain) and can’t wait to come back!

I had so much fun bowling on the United Way bowling team in support of Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  Our second game was a goofy game where we had to bowl all different ways from bowling like a ballerina, to bowling with our eyes closed!
