"Perceived failure is one of the most difficult emotions to overcome. When I first started working with Becky, I had competed for the title of Miss Ohio four times prior and each year felt as if I was close, but just simply wasn’t good enough. Going into my fifth year of competition, I knew it would be the last time I stepped foot on the Miss Ohio stage and I was determined to make this dream become a reality. When I first learned about Becky’s business, I was captivated by her mission statement: Embrace, Evolve, Elevate. From the previous years of competition, I fully understood how to evolve and elevate one’s performance – all I needed to do was go back and look at photos and videos from where I began. The word that I struggled with was ‘embrace’. At this point, I was struggling to embrace my dream because I unknowingly had accepted a lie that manifested in my heart – that I would never be good enough. It wasn’t until I began my coaching sessions with Becky that this lie began to be revealed. Becky believed in my dream, even when I had lost hope. She taught me how to fully embrace my dream, regardless of past outcomes, and understand the unique value that I brought to the table. This mindset not only provided the confidence I needed when I took the stage that final year, but has proven to be a foundational truth I rely upon in my career. My journey through the Miss America organization has paved the way to where I am today. I currently serve as the Marketing and Business Development Manager for a Columbus-based Architecture Firm, as well as the VP of Business Development for a national Civil Engineering Firm. I use the skills that I learned from Becky on a daily basis, but most importantly, the mindset she instilled. The growth I’ve achieved professionally manifests in my ability to leverage my personal brand – a skill I learned and developed through working with Becky. Moving forward, I undoubtedly will continue to draw upon the lessons learned in my sessions, and each day I am energized by the realization that I have the tools necessary to take on whatever life throws my way, thanks to Becky."
